Hi there everyone, Fennec version 0.4.0 has been released!

With this release, more granular age ratings have been added to the application.

Prior to this release, the only age restriction option was setting an event to 18+. This was restrictive; what if you wanted to set an event to be 21+ instead of just 18+? Or, what if you want to mark an event as PG-13?

In 0.4.0, when editing an event in the Manage Schedule screen, you will notice that the "18+ Event" checkbox has now been replaced with an "Age Rating" section. This new section allows for some new, more flexible options with age ratings.

• No Rating: If you aren't sure what age rating to assign to an event, or if you simply don't want to assign an age rating, you can choose to leave an event unrated.
• All Ages: Self explanatory, but this option allows you to specifically mark an event as appropriate for all ages.
• Minimum Age: This option allows you to set a minimum age for the event. For adult events where the minimum age is strictly enforced with ID checks, you can check the "Enforced" option. If you want the minimum age to be more of a suggestion similar to a PG-13 rating, you can leave the "Enforced" option unchecked. On the attendee view, the strictness of the rating will be reflected appropriately.

I hope this will allow for much more flexibility when communicating age ratings to attendees for each scheduled event!

Hello again everyone!

With Fennec starting to enter its later stages of beta, I will now start posting release notes to the blog so that users can see what changes have gone out with each new release of the app.

With release 0.3.0, the primary new feature is being able to close out and archive convention years once the convention has wrapped up.

In the Schedule Settings page, you will find a new option called "End Convention Year". This option is to be used when operations for the current year's convention have wrapped up, and you are ready to transition to next year's schedule.

In addition, previously archived schedules will become read-only, but still accessible for historic purposes.
